A legendary piece of 90s "Chickwear" evangelism in Spanish. This shirt uses a clever "reverse psychology" tactic, featuring a classic Jack Chick-style demon on the front to grab attention and spark curiosity for the message on the back.
Front: A laughing demon graphic with the text: "POR FAVOR... ¡No lea lo que dice al otro lado!" (PLEASE... Don't read what it says on the other side!).
Back: A stark contrast to the front, featuring a silhouette running toward the light of the Cross with the promise of Romanos 10:13: "Porque todo aquel que invocare el nombre del Señor, será salvo" (For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved).
The History & Significance This design was a staple of the Jack Chick "Chickwear" catalog in the early 90s. The goal was to use the "forbidden" nature of the demon's warning to force people to read the plan of salvation on the wearer's back. Spanish-language versions of these Hanes Beefy-T Chick shirts are incredibly scarce compared to the English versions and are highly prized by collectors for their unique "scare-tactic" aesthetic and crossover into underground comic art.
